Carb recon

The short version

Nobody can eyeball carbs. So this app does the guessing for you: snap a photo of your plate and it estimates the carbs, then checks them against your daily budget. Build plates from protein + non-starchy veg + real fat, and let your glucose meter — not a label — cast the deciding vote.

The 6-12-12 rule. No more than 6g of carbs at breakfast, 12g at lunch, 12g at dinner — 30g a day max. No minimum.
Count total carbs, not "net." The fiber subtraction is a marketing move; your pancreas didn't get the memo.
Eat to your meter. If a food shoves you 20+ points above your pre-meal number, it's a traitor — even if it fit the budget.

Estimates, not gospel. Not medical advice. Talk to your doctor before changing diet, meds, or supplements.
